At Matte Painting UK, we offer a wide range of services including Consultancy, Supervision, Budgeting, Script Breakdown, Shot and Concept Design and both 2D and 3D Digital Environments. We also provide out-sourcing DMP support for more established VFX facilities. Our clients include The Mill, The Mill NY, MPC, Passion Pictures, Peerless Camera Company and The Senate VFX. Matte Painting UK was established in 2007 by matte artist Max Dennison in response to the rapidly growing demand for world class Digital Environments by the international Film industries. Max has been creating digital environments for over thirteen years and has worked all over the world with some of todays leading Visual Effects technicians and on some of the biggest film productions in the last decade. Between 2000 and 2004, he supervised the Digital Matte department for Weta Digital in New Zealand on the Lord of the Rings Trilogy winning him a nomination for Best Digital Environment by the Visual Effects Society. To date, he has worked on over 30 feature film productions including Star Wars – Revenge of the Sith, The Da Vinci Code, Superman Returns, The Golden Compass and most recently – The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus and The Edge of Darkness. He has also produced work for TV shows, Commercials and Video Games.
